Welcome to Karmel Covenant Church

Welcome to Karmel - a name which passed from Latin to Swedish, and essentially means "God's fruited field." You are entering the website of a 124 year old rural congregation that is excited about the vibrant future God is forming here. It is not only our exploration of both traditional and contemporary themes that excites us; it is that through a commitment to deepening relationships centered in the presence of Jesus, we are discovering more and more about our uniqueness and our role.

Several important themes are emerging in fresh ways. First, we are a diverse group, but we believe that every individual is an essential piece to what God is doing here. Our diversity is reflected through multi generations, individuals with special needs, a blend of rural and ex-urban values, families and singles, economic strata, political viewpoints, and more. We do not press everyone into the same mold. Secondly, we are a mission outpost, endeavoring to engage our surrounding area through service, and our world by sending Karmel's people to the corners of the earth. Thirdly, we value innovation. We are discovering that through innovative ministry, our rural setting provides a unique dimension to what people are seeking.

We are passionately in love with the Lord, and are being transformed day by day as the Holy Spirit does what only God can do. If you are considering a church family, we invite you to explore what Karmel Covenant might mean for you, especially as you deepen your life of faith.
